OK guys any help willlingly received we need to rent SW4/11/12 for about 4 months and are really struggling to find somehwere. So far one agent has shown me a student dump and that's it.
Anyone have any ideas where we can find somewhere? (we just can't afford Foxtons type 100% rental increases)

lala are you still looking (faint hope )

thanks
really interesting site.

I reckon at least two of those are actually renting out their own home over the summer (I've always wondered how anyone can afford to pay more than 1 million quid for a house!)

however most want nearly 1,000 pounds a week or have no availability, the one you linked to I reckon the landlady lives on site (which I think would drive me mad with the kids!)

I'm still looking.......

We have just spent 6 weeks hunting in west London..... holiday lets, adverts in local shops, asking shops keepers re flats above their shops, visited all local estate agents and even approched 2 local properties with a sold board outside to see if we could rent during exchange and completition! In the end we had to go via Foxtons, ridiculously expensive but sorted - move in tommorrow for 6 weeks.

umm thanks cailin
might have to book a holiday cottage for another week then!

few more appeared on rightmove tonight....

Just to reiterate. Please advertise on gumtree stating what you are looking for. When I lived in West London and rented out rooms (could have quite easily accommodated you calilin at the time - 4 years too late!), I never advertised, but instead checked the rooms wanted posts from people looking for a room. That way, I didn't have to sort through lots of people answering my ad who weren't appropriate.

Also try spareroom.co.uk.
