Hi there, I am looking at different garnite suppliers and have stumbed across this company - has anyone experience of them ? You don't pay until they have done the job so not sure what else could go wrong ?? Any advice/recommendations welcome !

We have used Granite Solutions before - they are very good and extremely helpful.

Hi @Ilovemudmovers. I've just found granite4you as well. How did they work out for you - did you use them in the end ?

Hi I had my granite fitted in Sept by Granite4you. I was indeed dubious also of their low prices but the service was great and my worktops are gorgeous! I would definately recommend them.x ;)Julie

V late addition to this post! I am too thinking of using Granite4you and wondered if scrummymummyjulie and Ilovemudmovers are still happy with their granite worktops? Or anyone else who has used them?
Are the worktops cut at your home or mostly cut in the factory and finished onsite? I'm thinking if they are cut onsite then this is why they are much cheaper. Does that mean the quality of the workmanship/fit is compromised? I know they have CNC machines in the factories which are v accurate and I'm rather dubious that work done onsite with hand tools just won't be as good. Hoping someone has some pearls of wisdom on this!

We looked at online cheap granite worktops but in the end decided to approach local stonemasons. Price wasn't much different, slightly more BUT we were advised that there is huge variation in slabs of granite. One slab of Nero impala might have much bigger crystals than another slab. Advantage of local stonemasons is that you can go to their yard and choose exactly which slab you want for your worktops. At our local stonemasons, they had about 8 slabs of the granite we wanted, and we chose the exact one. Also, given that it was a huge amount of money, I liked the fact that we were dealing with a "real" company so that if anything had gone wrong I could go to their firm and talk to someone.

Do check out your local stonemasons. Also, we did a bit of haggling which brought price down to not much more than online companies.

Thanks Mrs Growbag! I have checked out quite a few different outfits but Granite4you still coming out the best. I will go and choose my own slab from their suppliers' yard and I've found out because I don't have much outside space (and TBH don't really want all the granite dust!) they will template and cut it in their factory. As Ilovemudmovers said you don't pay until satisfactory completion so I guess in their own interests to do a good job. My father was a v talented stonemason so my standards are high!
