How much for a bog standard garden gate to be made and fitted?

Talking about a side gate, about 6ft tall and made to measure in treated timber, with new posts, hinges etc?

What might I expect to pay for it to be made and fitted?

Live in NW England so not Southern prices!

Any ideas? I have nothing to compare it with!

we have a quote from the guy who fitted out front door recently for £160, but that is for a 4ft high gate, not 6, but does include all the rest you want.

Yours sounds cheap actually - we got £235 quoted!

With that I have decided to make my own! We have a bog standard Estate House with 6' surround fence with fence style gate which is falling apart.

I will now hie me to Wickes and purchase the wood myself! I shall use the existing fittings.

It may look shit but it will cost me £20!

We paid £240. SW London price. We thought a bargain after a local windows and doors company quoted £1200!!!!!!!!!
