Just that really - we are doing an extension and as such completely redoing are kitchen - going very modeerrrrrrn with high gloss white units round outside , with a huge walnut island unit topped with caesar stone ina white ish colour - it basically has a few brownish flecks in it which tone in with the Walnut ( i know tis sounds horrid but is actually quiqte nice when you look at it all together)

Anyhow - have always had black nero granite before so am a bit scared of caesarstone - is it as hard weraring? can I put pans down on it etc etc any exp you have had would be great to hear....

We have a similar quartz stone surface which we love. It looks lovely and is always commented on. It is very hardwearing. Ours however has mirrored flecks in so we cannot put hot pans etc on it. But it sounds like your won't, so you should be OK.

Is it the same thing as Smartstone?

inmypants · 28/04/2010 07:18

Ours is light. We haven't had problems with red wine (don't drink coffee). We were advised to mop up stains as quick as possible, but there have been some mornings when we have returned downstairs to find a red wine stain rim under the wine bottle when we move it - this has always cleaned away with no effort.

watching with interest as we're considering the exact same colour/brand...
