Is extension poss? where to get advice

Hi Everyone,

I love our 4 bed house very much, but its getting small for our growing family. The upstairs is in the eaves of the roof already, and there is a one storey ext downstairs already. I want advice on how best to / is it poss at all to extend, should I be turning to architect or builder or who?? Thanks

I think you'll want an architect - you may well need planning permission and an architect is likely to be more imaginative.

Google "architect in the house". There is a scheme at the moment where you can get an hour with an architect in return for a donation (suggested amount £40 i think) to Shelter. You sign up on the website.
