Recommendations, caveats, experiences?

Thanks

We used Hips4U. They weren't quite the cheapest but not far off - though we did pay an extra £20 for their "express service".

All was great, they emailed us the questionnaires to fill in, were able to send energy surveyor round at the weekend (v helpful), and we got the hip through in 4 days or so. Would recommend.

If you are shopping around, do ask how long it will take - this varies a lot between the companies and also depends on your local council.

I'm a Home Surveyor and Energy Assessor, so could produce an independant HIP for you if you don't feel like doing it all yourself.
