Wooden slatted shutters

We're thinking of investing in wooden slatted shutters for our kitchen windows. Has anyone else done this recently and who did you buy from? Would you recommend? There are so many companies out there (I've just googled) but I'd far rather go on a recommendation.
Anyone?

shutterly fabulous were excellent. we also used shutters of distinction and tried to reuse them but they would only come out to measure on a tuesday afternoon so not exactly flexible.

We're using the New England Shutter Co.

Great so far (but then, we're getting a discount because one of the distributors is an old friend )

Elibean do you know what their prices are like, their website looks good.
Are they fitting them for you?
