Kitchen discounts?

Kitchen hunting on a tight budget and I remembered reading somewhere on here about companies chasing you with further discounts if you don't complete an order straight away. Anyone had that happen?

We've got quotes from B&Q and Magnet so far, and getting them from Ikea and Wickes. Don't know where else in Birmingham... Can we really expect any of them to come down any further from their sale prices?

We just had a Wickes kitchen fitted and it is fabulous.I'm so pleased with it.We got a quote and waited til the sale started and it went down to half price. Then we waited again and a week before the sale ended, they were offering another 15% off,so we ordered it then.I also got the range cooker, hood, and dishwasher massively discounted too.

Hold out if you can-it is worth doing. Also don't get the stores own fitters to fit it-we saved over £3300 by using our own fitter. If you go on the Screwfix trade website, there is a kitchen fitter's talk section, you can see how they rate the kitchens and how much they charge. We paid £150 a day, which sems to be the average.

Have fun!
