Why arent there any new homes on the market?

We have now agreed a sale(touch wood) but there is nothing to buy! Isnt Spring the season for house sales?

Am I missing something?

I'm not sure they will blink first. So many people got burned recently. And I remember being in neg equity in the 80s - had to take out a 125% mortgage that crippled us. Thankfully house prices rose so we came out of it quite quickly but it was a risk.

So much has changed since the 80's though, MPI and the government paying interest up to £200k for the unemployed.

MillyMollyMoo- it will take really high unemployment and high interest rates to create real force selling and sharper correction. Might never happen
