Hole in ceiling lining paper URGENT HELP NEEDED

Please help.

I am painting a ceiling that is lined and the roller has just come away with a big piece of lining stuck to it so now there's a hole.

What is the quickest and best way to patch up?

Peel the scrap of paper off the roller, find some glue and carefully stick it back into place. It's the only way you'll get the right shape and the alternative is stripping and replacing a whole strip of paper which is really fiddly.

Remember to let the glue dry before you paint it though.
