Have recently started seriously toying with the idea of building our own house. I would love to hear from anyone who has done this? We have capital so we could self finance.
We've no real experience of doing this. We have partially renovated one house - rewire, replumb, replaster etc etc.
I am thinking we would rent in the area whilst the building work takes place.
Anyway - would love to hear unedited experiences. What mistakes did you make - in both design and build? What went really well.
