Our family me, dh and ds1 soon to be 4 and ds 2 10 weeks are considering moving back to the UK we have been living in the Netherlands and are now living in Belgium. Ideally we would like to live in London, when we were young and child free we rented in Belsize Park and Fulham both nice, but now out of our price range if buying I suspect.
I really need some help in thinking of areas that are ok with children, on a tube line, that we can afford and have either good state schools or private. So I guess we have to talk money now we were thinking around approx 700k but we would need ideally 4 beds.
.

I know most people move out of London when they have children but we would love to move back. Is anyone living in London with young children - I would love to hear how you find it.

Can anyone point me to the right areas. I would really appreciate it.

Richmond, Barnes, Mortlake?
Lovely areas.
Are they too far out for you?

Wimbledon I like. My sis says Richmond is very nice. I am guessing we have been priced out of London. I have felt very isolated living in Europe and have spent the last 5 years dreaming of living in the middle of London - our reality maybe very different.
I really want to be able to jump on the tube and take my children to the museums etc. I love cities and quite frankly my nightmare would be living in the countryside we already tried moving to a more rural area here thinking it would be better for the children but it made both of us very unhappy.

I don't even know how it works with schools do we find a school then a house or a house then a school..

What about ealing - is that nice?

Thankyou for taking the time to reply. I have no doubt I am sounding totally confused wwhich I am.
