How can I have pink in our bedroom without it being too girly?

If the walls were painted a soft pale pink what kind of style would you go for? minimalist modern with whites and greys or homely and romantic? don't want it to be too girly for DH or too chintzy. Or do you think it would be better to accessorise with different pinks and keep the walls white??

my cousin had hers all chocolaty but with hints/accesories in fuschia pink it looked nice and was not too girly at all

lol bruxeur! yes i just like the colour but not the girlie-ness, im just googling wallpaper, maybe just one wall. Or just the curtains? i love ikea's all white rooms, maybe a cushion?

Our bedroom is styled after a Rennie McIntosh room we visited. So mostly that ever so slightly grey off white for woodwork, wardrobes, bed head. The wall paper is a mock silk in pink and white, carpet colour called 'clover' bedding white although I sometimes put a plain pink cover on the duvets with broderie anglaise covers over so that the pink peeks through the holes. We have a couple of Rennie Mac style paintings (actually done by my Dad). Love the effect and not at all girly. A bit minimalist, light and airy.

ooo that sounds lovely! and good idea with the broderie anglaise

I like shocking pink with an eau de nil green. Sounds awful but they go together surprisingly well. We have this in the DCs playroom - the desk is eau de nil, the legs on it bright pink and DS has a chair painted in the eau de nil, DD the pink.
