Radiator covers - naff or not?

I have a fab old style radiator painted bright red in my kitchen. I love it.

The rest are a mix of old 'bar style' which I am happy with and flat panel ones which I can't stand.

I can't afford to replace them for now so am wondering if some radiator covers could be good?

Please note - not trellis ones - oh god no

We have an assortment of old radiators and have fitted covers.Every time someone visits, who hasn't seen them before, they comment on how much they like them.Ours aren't trellis ones though, they have a sort of 4 leaf clover style cut out.I love them, but agree with you that the cheap ones look awful.

we have wooden radiator covers (with wooden insets like bars) - they go with the house I guess (turn of 20th C).
I much preferred our modern Hudevad flat panel rads in our last house though

My cats love them, gives them a perfect sleeping place.

Radiator covers really 'streamlined' the look of our house. We only covered 'strategic' ones but we're happy with the results.

They were just B&Q ones, nothing flash... and I have to confess, almost trellis! We did need 3 that matched so they had to have all the sizes in that range. I shopped around and found the sky's the limit in terms of cost, though!
