Hello, does anyone have this, would you recommend it and where should I get it from? I would like it in the hall and playroom, maybe the stairs too, although DH thinks it would be dangerous?!? He worries about spilling drinks on it and the LO's slipping.
TIA

Hi there,

I have lots of it... a 26ft lounge and my hallway.

I really like it. It is a bit slippy but only as much as any other wood floor or porcelain tile. My DS can crawl on it fine and wears slipper socks over his normal socks (just like a pair of slippers - but I know he wont fall out of socks!)

It does dink and scratch a bit, i dont know how this compares to other wood floors though. I can walk over it in stilettos and it doesn't mark but DS dropped a stone cup coaster and that dinked it. Dragging furniture scratches it too. the scratches fade too.

I am happy with it.

I had it and loved it. If you search, I think you'll find a previous thread on the subject.

But I think I'm right in saying that you very definitely shouldn't have it on stairs, unless it's all covered with a stair runner.

We had it in both bathrooms in our last house, and loved it. Pretty, eco friendly, didn't show any water marks, and no slipping that I recall even fresh out of the bath!

I wouldn't put it on stairs though, unless they are carpeted.

A friend on mine has it and I LOVE it . Stilettos mark hers although I notice that LadyAlex says they don't mark hers.

Definatly not for the stairs but great for the hall and playroom.

Lovely, thanks for your replies. Any ideas where is good to get it from? Does it have to be on the internet or will local flooring shops have it?

We got ours through a flooring guy - not a company, but a tiler who was doing our bathroom floor.

We have this everywhere in our house and on our stairs as well.
It's lovely stuff and I would recomment it to anyone

What about in a kitchen? We are redoing ours and haven't decided about flooring yet.

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 20/02/2010 22:49

The only reason we don't have it in the kitchen is because it was tiled already. If the tiles had been horrid I would have had bamboo put down as well, but becasue they are OK we couldn't justify the expense.

We have bamboo flooring in the bathroom and it is fine.
