Well, we are about twelve miles away, but know friends who live there.

Seems a nice little place, there are shops and amenities, without being a big town. There's a high school so kids not relient on mum/dad/buses to get around and I've not heard anything bad about the schools. It's all pretty nice around here, a good place to raise kids.

The one thing I would say about Long Stratton is that it's on the main road between Norwich and Ipswich, so the traffic is pretty heavy for a village. The locals complain about that all the time.

Although on the plus side, my dad has been known to drive from the other side of Norwich for a trip to the Long Stratton baker (it's the cheese straws I hear...)

My godmother lives nearby in Hempnall, that's a lovely village and there are other beautiful villages close by too (Morningthorpe especially).

HTH...

It's closer to Norwich (about 7 or 8 miles) than Lowestoft (poss 15 miles? not sure).

Where are you moving from?
