Have just painted kitchen white and hate it!

My kitchen is quite large and pure brilliant white all over is just too insanely white.
I don't fancy painting it all again,but could maybe paint just the walls a warmer colour.
Has anyone any suggestions as to what would go with the white ceiling and woodwork? Please

I think any colour would go - maybe a comething which would go with other rooms in your house?

We have just painted the walls in our utility room (which has white units) a pale green (Dulux willow tree, I think)

most things go with white ceiling & woodwork. I'm a bit of a farrow and ball fan myself and have this in our kitchen with white ceiling/woodwork. Or if you just want an off white they have a huge range. Their modern emulsion is washable and suitable for kitchens.

have you moved all your stuff back in yet?

our dining room is pure white, and did look a bit clinical before we had re-hung all our pictures, sorted the light fittings, and put the linen back. It's fine now (although we do have quite a lots of art, and brightly coloured table linen).

a bit like this - the white means you can go for strong and/or clashing furnishings

I agree with Cassell - we had Farrow & Ball's 'Green Ground' in our previous kitchen, and absolutely LOVED it with our cream coloured kitchen units. Plan to use the same colour again in our current kitchen when we redecorate.

My old kitchen was long and thin. I wanted to use a strong colour, but thought that it would make it too dark, so instead I painted it white and painted one of the long walls dark red. It looked great, but I don't know how it would work with a larger kitchen.

oh i love my White kitchen walls but like to add coluur with chairs etc how about a wall done in patterned wallpaper there are some gorgeous ones about try Living etc website for great ideas for a White kitchen
