I used Mr Muscle drain unbloker only today on my smelly blocked sink, seems to have worked a treat

ThatVikRinA22 · 01/02/2010 22:54

Caustic soda.

MarionCole · 01/02/2010 22:56

Orange Mr Muscle. If it smells it's because there's something down there, I reckon.

How's the running? ('Tis giddy kipper btw and I haven't been out since December )

skymoo · 01/02/2010 22:58

throw a cup of bicarb down and leave for a bit

top off with a cup of white vinegar - stand well back but allow children to watch from a distance, they find it amusing

flush with boiling water

should now smell nice and fresh but you can put some tea tree oil down there to finish off if you like

CMOTdibbler · 02/02/2010 12:07

I get smelly sink stuff from the supermarket (it's a green bottle) and it works wonders - bleach never sorts it out properly for some reason.

cece · 02/02/2010 12:10

soda crystals. Magic stuff. Can do loads with it and relatively cheap. info here

Our sinks smelled really bad because we had a blocked drain. I think you probably need to get out one of those drain clearing companies.

ThatVikRinA22 · 02/02/2010 23:11

problem is my drain is shared with 8 other houses. and im on the end. so errrrrrr.... not paying on my lonesome for 8 other peoples drains to be cleaned!

ill stick some bicarb down mine and see what happens.

the drain isnt blocked, man hole is clear and running.
