Double Glazing recommendations.

We need new windows and doors. Ours are old ugly and leaky (many presently sealed with duct tape to stop the draughts- looks really classy!)

We used Zenith Staybright five years ago for our conservatory and were very happy with the product and the service we recieved but they are very expensive and I don't always like their tactics. We ended up with a good price on the conservatory but only because we refused the hard sell and played really hard to get.

We are Zenith in for a quote (and have made it clear we are not interested in a hard sell)but want another quote as a bench mark as we have absolutely no idea how much it should cost.

Anyone with good or bad experiences of other Double glazing companies? We live in Essex and might be up for using a smaller more local company.

I can recommend Andrew Jaynes Ltd Based in Kent, but covers South East.

Thanks sleepisforwimps but it looks like they only do wood and we want pvc.

We used Safe Style for a window and two doors. of course we got the hard sell and the price initially was high but eventually got them down to a good price and the two guys who came to do it were very good and tidied up after themselves.

they had GREAT prices, lists right there on the site, and an online quote builder!!!It made it very simple. I believe they ship everywhere, but mainly do installation in the southwest....so not sure if theat will help you or not. But, they were really friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend!!!
