Anyone live in Thanet (Isle of)? Thinking of moving there ...

We have friends in Westgate but they don't have children so aren't much help when it comes to schools etc.

Any recommendations for primary schools? And what areas are nice/should I avoid?

Hi, I live 'near' Thanet, I personally wouldn't want to live in alot of Thanet. If you want my honest opinion, I personally would avoid Margate and Ramsgate, (sorry anyone that lives there). There are however nice parts in Thanet, the same as anywhere, I quite like the Broadstairs area, which has some nice surrounding areas. The best thing would initially be to get in the car and have a drive around, I'm not from Kent originally and on driving around Thanet when looking for a house, I quickly made up my mind where I definitely would not want to bring up my children, without even looking into schools.

You mentioned Whitstable, which is a very desirable place, but I'm afraid not in Thanet.

I have no idea on schools I'm afraid as my children are 1 & 3, but you can always check Ofsted reports.

Sorry for the extremely long sentence, I blame my 1 & 3 year old for not letting me sleep for the past 3 years.
