All of those but not teh heaters!I renovated this house while living elsewhere and sometimes when I came round they had the heat on full and blowers going everywhere and we got a mega bill!

noddyholder · 21/01/2010 13:31

Yes get a second hand hoover to show them you expect it to be cleaned up!

Cyb · 21/01/2010 13:32

Industrial Air freshener.

Builders without fail wait until they reach the clients house before opening their bowels

noddyholder · 21/01/2010 13:40

sooooooooooooo true

Cyb · 21/01/2010 13:41

While youre at it put some Antibac loo wipes within easy reach . You will be wiping loo rims a lot

CMOTdibbler · 21/01/2010 13:45

Mugs, sugar, tea spoons, tea towels, washing up liquid

MortaIWombat · 21/01/2010 13:51

Oh god yes. Mine left a fat log in both loos for me to come home to last night. And tramped all over the new carpets with muddy boots. Am really quite cross (still)!

Leave them loo roll and air freshener, and if you have two bathrooms, lock one of them!

sorry they should bring all this stuff themselves, esp if you are not there. once you start giving them biscuits they will never stop asking for them! and the oil filled heaters? why not provide a sofa and foot stool too! do you want them to finish the job?

EssenceOfJack · 21/01/2010 21:02

Small bin and bags, unless you like used teabags all over the kitchen.

I had the builders in every day for 10 months. I didn't provide them with anything except a heater once to dry some plaster and the use of my electricity to boil their own kettle and play their own radio. The part of the house they were working in was unheated even. They installed a portaloo in the drive, and brought their own tools and snacks. I wouldn't provide anything except maybe some toilet paper if they are going to be using your facilities.

skinsl · 21/01/2010 21:10
