Can you please tell me about lovely places around London where we could live ?

We leave in South west london and I absolutely adore living there, I have all my friends and my dds are in a very good school. The problem is that is way too expensive, we are renting a 2 bedroom flat for 1300 pounds and the landlord wants to increase it by 4 %. We are really struggling at the moment but I dont think we have the choice. I dont know anywhere else apart from London, could you please tell me about some nice place around london ? Thank you !

£900 pcm, nice road, catchment for 2 v good primaries and a good secondary. A few mins walk from a nice park, excellent bus routes to West end, Museums, Sloane Sq, city, 3 v quick train lines.

Streatham Hill is relatively cheap as it is unfashionable (but up and coming) and close to the hideous Streatham High Rd. But the High Rd does have a very good range of shops and cafes, some nice independent cafes and restaurants (check out 'perfect blend' for exampple) as well as chains like Pizza Express and fantastic turkish and other delis and bakeries.

However, the good schools are over-subscribed so you would need to check about places - Hitherfield and Streatham Wells are the closest good primaries, Dunraven and the new Elm Green well thought of secondaries.
