Fungus on the shower sealant !

Had a new and lovely shower cabinet 12months ago but fungus appreared on the sealant after about 6 months. Now am assiduously drying the sealant every shower. Will ask dh to replace it eventually but how am i going to stop it happening again.Is there anything else I can do apart from drying drying drying?

spray with dettol mould cleaner- it's in a green bottle and it totally works! we had mouldy grout all round the bath sealant and it disappeared after a spray and being left for only 5 mins or so!

it stinks of chemicals tho so open all windows!

I tried the dettol stuff and in my case it didnt work. I replaced the seal with an anti mould one instead and havent had any problems since.

I had a look in the hardware shop and realised I had tried the Dettol before. Will replace sealant with an anti-mould one eventually - well, not me persoanlly you understand.

If Dettol doesn't work there's also 'Astonish' mould and mildew remover. possibly stronger.
