Loft conversion- it's started

Scaffolders came yesterday in the snow! and hole went in roof yesterday. Lots of noise since then!
Can anyone give me any tips on how to get through it.Dos and Don'ts
Or any ideas about the order in which things happen.
How long did yours take?

I can't offer any advice, but will be watching with interest as we're hoping to have the loft converted in the Spring!

am stuck in the lounge with DS asleep on the couch, the most almighty crash just come from upstairs, I am scared to look.
