Replacing Storage Heaters...Sigh.....

We have two large storage heaters in our flat that arent on timers and I would like to replace them. They are more than 10 years old now and they take an age to warm up and heat the rooms.

Any idea what I can replace them with? We have panel radiators in the bedrooms, hall and bathroom so would these be my only option?

There is no gas option and I would love central heating but no can do.

TIA

don't suppose there are any fireplaces you could open up and use?

No unfortunately, its a fairly modern flat but its in an old warehouse.

Tempted to burn the phone books that litter the front door in a kitchen cupboard for a 'homely' feel
