We are at the stage of meeting with the architect to firm plans for the extension we hope to build this year. It's 2 storey and upstairs we will have a 3 x7 .5m space for our master bedroom & ensuite. So it's long and narrow, and the current plans have an ensuite at one end measuring 3 x 2m with a bit sticking out where the door will be and a recess which will house fitted wardrobes on the bedroom side IYSWIM.
These are the plans the architect came up with before (he did the plans with the previous house owners) and they seem fine but I am trying to think of other possibilities before it all becomes final. I was thinking of a smaller bathroom in order to try to put in a walk in wardrobe instead of standard fitted wardrobes but that might be too much of a squeeze. Or do you think maximum bathroom space would be better and have freestanding wardrobes? Have you done anything similar recently and have any ideas?
Thanks
