I am supposed to be having a meeting with someone next Monday

BUT she is supposed to be moving house tomorrow

BUT if all the people who were supposed to move house this week couldn't cos of the weather then what happens????

  1. Do they moving companies do her house move on Friday and then move the people who were yesterday to a date sometime in the future
  1. Or do the moving companies shift everyone a day or 2 days later?
  1. What happens to the chain with the other people wanting to move into her house etc
  1. Or do house moves happen on the day arranged even if the weather is really bad?

Thanks

My parents are due to finally move tomorow and there is that much snow im wondering if it will still be able to happen if the vans cannot get to them - so im bumping this for answers too ........ so a free bump but no useful advise - sorry

It would make sense to still move tmw the person due to and then play catch up but I not sure the removal firms have protocols for this situation.

This happened to my neighbours last year.

The completion date remained the same, but all their stuff was stuck in the lorry as it couldn't get up our hill because of the snow. They had to move in without their possessions and camped out after buying emergency bedding locally. It was a further 2 days before it thawed and the removal van could finally make it to their new home with all their stuff.

Camped out in their new house, I meant to add.

oke doke thanks

So what happened to the people who wanted the lorry for those 2 days?

I will keep my fingers crossed that her move goes ahead tomorrow and that there haven't been any delays this week that will delay it

What a nightmare ~ hope your parents get to move too

thanks and good luck - i am assuming if a backlog the company would already have rang them...

Despite massive amounts of snow last night mine got moved, then as i came home an almight blizzard came on and it took me an age to get home. Thank god thats over.
