My washing machine isn't spinning properly, wha's the matter with the bloody thing?

It's not an old one, and doesn't make weird noises. It's not within warranty though (of course).

But the clothes are finishing sopping wet.

When mine did that recently it turned out that the filter was blocked. DH managed to locate it and clear it out - twas utterly disgusting. I had no idea the damn thing even had a filter.

if it's not the filter it could be the pump.

is it level? mine doesn't work properly unless I shove a bbit of card under it because my floor is rubbish!

Mine did that and the engineer came out. The problem was one of the underwires from my bra had come adrift and I think it had gone through a hole in the drum and was causing a problem.
He said it was quite common.

Just a thought. The outpipe hasn't frozen up has it? Our washing machine is in the garage and has been frozen for weeks now.
