Morning everyone, thanks for all the compliments yes we love it even though it's not everyone's cup of tea it's my fav part of the house! Just can't wait to get it all done and get it looking more organised, I hate clutter but it's everywhere at the mo. Have just ordered £150 worth of storage boxes for the shelves in playroom so that will help.
Fizzylemonade, the gap is 110cm (I think, DP doing something to kitchen floor at mo so can't go and measure). Original thread is here if you want a nose. Think it helps the we only have 3 lots of 60cm doors all on same side.
Noddlyholder, yup love the floor although it is cold when you sit on it playing for a long time - wish we could have afforded under floor heating! Going to buy a nice big rug I think.
lisad123wantsherquoteinDM - sorry to freak you out! A lot of the houses in my area look like this maybe your friend lives near me? I'm in Bristol.
OpheliaPain - that green thing is either a glass splashback, or flowers? Depends which green thing you mean?
hippipotamiHasLost77lbs - I think it's cool too! Doesn't look as good in the night time as you need the natural light to bounce of it but I love it. We got it from these guys. It's slightly the wrong colour which is a bit of a pain, it's meant to be more of a zesty lime, but I think it's apple green?! Having a row with the suppliers at the mo.
Kitchen units are from Wickes, the range in inverness (think they have a 50% off sale at mo). I put them together by myself so they are easy to put together. But my DP says they were easy but time consuming to put on the walls as our walls aren't the straightest.
Rindercella it is Christmas in my defence!
Heated the lights are from iconic lighting (quite cheap) and the big orange one is a FLY Kartell light (stupidly expensive). All the children love the big orange light - it's a bit random but that's my sort of thing!
The tables are a bit of an ikea hack. It's from the part where you make your own table (can't find it onine!). It's basically their cheapest large tabletop in pine, with lockable castor legs. My DP cut the legs to child height and made the table into a drop leaf table so we can put them into the middle of the room and make them bigger for crafty play. The oil cloth on top makes it easier to clean and was from ebay.
