Ikea do somw fantastic ones though be careful of some of them as we had to return our one as the fibres kept shedding even after loads of hoovering.Fantastic value for money though .

Do you have an Ikea near you - you can often get large rugs there very cheaply. I got a plain red rug (!) there last tear for £6. The ds's wanted a red one, I wasn't too kern on red so didn't want to spend much.

No Ikea, not in our travelling distance anyways.

Go to a carpet shop and make them an offer for an offcut?

HerHonesty · 21/12/2009 21:07

b and q had some ok ones last time i was there
. i think only the big ones do them though

CuppaTeaJanice · 21/12/2009 21:11

Buy a big offcut at a carpet shop and get them to bind the edges. Or it might not need binding if it's long and shaggy enough.

Otherwise Argos, Dunelm Mill, T K Maxx, any diy store or independent carpet shop. Carpetright had some good offers earlier in the year.

Dunelm, I got a nice one ffrom B and Q

Another B and Q rec - I got a nice big shaggy one for £40 and it's lovely and soft.
