. Exchanged this afternoon.

We're completing on Friday which is starting to hit me rather hard as too how much stuff I have to get done between now and then but I don't care.

WE'RE MOVING . Thats all I care about right now. Its been a heck of a journey that I never wish to repeat but we've got the house we always wanted and I just hope that this is the start of a nice settled time for us.

Thank you so much for your support over the last few months. Having somewhere to turn too in those months where people understand has been a life saver.

Thank you all .

Woohoo - tomorrow does indeed come. I hope the move goes well!

rebl · 08/12/2009 22:00

Yes NoseyNooNoo tomorrow does eventually come . Weeks of tomorrow never coming it has come at last for us .

I feel that whatever is thrown at us now I can cope with.

Managed to get quite a lot done this afternoon and evening. The kids are now booked into nursery for Thursday and Friday, the cats into cattery from tomorrow, the electrician coming on Monday to fix the unsafe electrics and fit some lights. Removal men booked including packing (there is no way I can pack up by Friday by myself).

I'm about to do the school applications as well now. Then bed and face the task of getting the house ready for moving in the morning.

Congrats and all the best for the move!!

susie100 · 09/12/2009 16:22

HUGE congratulations. We are moving on the same day I shall be sending you calming vibes through the horror.

How you have managed to get ANYTHING organised in that time is amazing.

FimBOW · 09/12/2009 16:23

Congratulations Rebi, I read about your saga on the other thread, glad it has all come right in the end.

Fizzylemonade · 09/12/2009 18:01

Well done! It gives the rest of us hope

mulledfruitshootandcheese · 09/12/2009 18:03

Have been following your threads. Congratulations.

rebl · 09/12/2009 21:07

There definatly is hope that it all comes right in the end. My goodness me though, how much stuff is there to do and I've come down with something horrible. I can barely swollow and have a raging temperature but I'm dosing myself up and having to plough on through.

The removal men are here packing and I'm in bed ill. I can't believe it. My son came down with scarlet fever last weekend and I hate to admit but I think I have it now as well. Of all the times to get a bloody notifiable desease! Going to the dr in a bit and he'd better have a miracle cure because I can't move house stuck in bed. Grrrrrr.

How did it go Rebl? I am physically exhausted but we are IN and only 5 boxes left unpacked.

We have had to get electrician round though as the fuse in the living room keeps on going, more cash we could have done with NOT spending.

Packers were the best cash I have ever spent though, amazing, Hopefully everyone has recovered.

rebl · 03/01/2010 12:37

Sorry its taken soooo long to get back, only got internet back today. The move went well considering how ill I was. The removal men were fantastic and just kicked me out of bed at the last minute and told me to go and get the keys! Little problem of the people moving out of our new house moving in cars!!! So didn't get into the house until late but the removal company had had a last minute cancellation and so had a fully paid for crew sitting at the yard with nothing to do so they all came over and unpacked the lorry in just 2.5hrs instead of 5hrs.

Since being in (about 3 weeks now) we've had a complete sockets rewire (it was so dangerous that the electrician was amazed the place hadn't burnt down), decorated the kids bedrooms, boarded the loft, ripped out the front hedge and garden and just waiting for hardcore delivery this week to get a parking area by the house. We've also had an architect round and have some very exciting plans.

Obviously done the whole christmas thing which was a challenge but we managed it some how. Just got the tree down this morning and now we have to get the living room ready for major work in the next couple of weeks.

Hope everyone is fine and had a good Christmas.
