We have just moved house and DS (nearly 2) now has a MUCH bigger room than before. He used to have the boxroom, so it only just fitted his cotbed and some drawers - but now he has a much bigger space, and also it has a wall of built-in cupboards/wardrobes, so even the drawers aren't really needed and have been passed on ready for DC2! All he has in there right now is his cotbed, a few toys (but we want to keep most of his play stuff downstairs) and a chair, and it is quite empty and echoey.
What would you suggest to make it more fun and cosy, and less echoey, without spending too much money or filling it up with unnecessary furniture? I think we might try to find some sort of cheap mini-sofa or similar, so we can sit next to him for stories (he is starting to want to sit on his own rather than on knees, but we only have a single chair in there now), but I can't think of many other ideas!
