Leak to downstairs flat.

A pipe under our floor has leaked into the downstairs flat. Luckily not too much damage, just a lick of paint needed on their ceiling. We have now fixed the pipe. Are we liable for the damage? Anyone know?

I think it will depend if you own your property freehold or leasehold. AFAIK if it is leasehold then those who own the freehold to your building are responsible for all things structural, eg ceilings and party walls.

Well we share the freehold Buntytea, so we could pay for it out of the building funds.
