How much is your budget?

My folks put a curtain rail up with some nice heavy velour type curtains.

Screen divider thingies?

hi, fannybanjo - we have under 500 if possible.

what we are looking to do is to be able to do is to be able to shut our kitten in the 2nd room (lack of things for her to trash, no shelves, ornaments etc, lol) we also have fish in the front room so when we go out or at night we want to be able to shut her in the other room so i havent got this worry. Plus been wanting to do this for a long time as we have young children so it will be nice for the front room to be a haven for us after all the.

Ikiboo - was thinking curtain, wasnt sure whether the kitten would be able to get under or not

Do you want modern or more traditional?!

t875 · 16/11/2009 16:15

hi dilemma456 thanks for the link, yeah thats possible and would work. I will have to look into how big they are? Do you think they are light weight and would be easy for a kitten to push over? I am thinking possibly not..

fannybanjo - modern or traditional either is fine

thanks so much for all the advise and help on this forum. Normally i am on the parent one so this has been a first so thanks for the advise.

If you have £500 I would do it properly and get a joiner to put up a stud wall with a proper door. Possible a double folding door.

How big is the square opening? Does it go all the way to the ceiling?

Hi guys!

Thanks for all the help and advise, i have asked a friend of ours to come and do it for us. We are having double doors put in and probably looking at £350.

Thanks again!
