How the hell do we get from this tiny little 2 bed flat to something like this?

I hate being stuck in such a small flat. I want to live in a nice house with a nice garden. Not too much to ask for. I'm not asking for a 4 million house in Wimbledon Village. I just want to be in a house like I grew up in. Waaaaaaagggghhhhhh!!!

Fruitbatlings - change your estate agent.

Foxtons are rubbish at marketing properties and the photos they have taken do your flat no justice.

For example, when we were seling our propoerty, the photographer used a wide angled lens, moved any clutter out of the way etc, so that the rooms looked bigger. In your bathroom photo, you can't make out the room itself - it just looks like a window with lots of clutter around.

A new estate agent will also feel invigorated abut selling the property as it is new on their books.

Good luck

Much
They look fabulous but probably out of our price. We'll only sell our flat for maximum of £210,000. I don't get the whole Mortgage/solicitor/EA fees thing though so no idea what our budget will be. I'm guessing not much more than 210 though

Ftons give buyers the runaround y'know. My friend was looking in SWish London recently and wasn't allowed to book viewings of places they wanted to see, or even to have the particulars.
Instead at a time convenient for the agency, F
tons took them to places that the agents had deemed suitable for them, without any reference to their budget, or other requirements!
Needless to say, this approach did not find them the flat they were hoping to buy and they've given up for the moment as agents such as them are basically wasting all their spare time by showing them random properties.

I wouldn't touch a property that F**tons were selling - they have such a poor reputation. We lost a huge amount of money trying to buy a flat through them in Earlsfield a couple of years ago as they blatently lied to us about the position of the vendor, and my parents who used them when they first rented out a flat in Putney through them, ended up taking them to court (and winning) due to their mendacious practices....

When we were looking for a new place they would always take us to things WAY over budget and which bore absolutely no resemblance to the brief we had given them!

I agree with whoever said change agent.....
