Help with wallpapering, tips please.

It is tipping it down this morning and I am going to try and redecorate d.s bedroom,starting with lining his bruised walls. Have never wallpapered before. How hard is it? What do I need? Thanks.

How smooth and flat are your walls? If they are smooth, it is a testing job and you will swear a lot.

If they are are not smooth and flat, you are bugerred. Just start mainlining gin now - it will help

I had a go at this, apparently you start in the midlle of the wall so any odds bits are the corners.
We ended up getting a man in though.

Well ladies, I did it. So far all said paper has stayed vertical and attached,and actually looks quite good, although they were the worst walls ever,so anything would be an improvement. Am now proceeding to paint over the paper. You are so right Fanj,the most important part of the wallpapering kit is an open bottle.
