thanks, will send off for some samples.noddy, you have only gone part of the way up with your tiles. our kitchen guy has suggested this, but does the paintwork above get very dirty?

No the paintwork is fine.I think anymore would be too much and looks a bit dated.Plus they cost a fortune so less is better!

Another vote for Johnsons tiles. Tops Tiles sell them but have to do them as a special order. They had a colour sample board at my local shop but you had to ask to see it. I got Kiwi Green.
