Bay window curtain poles - anyone used them?

I'm want to order some from Laura Ashley as they have a sale on atm.

I've measured the size of my window.

Do I need to take into account the length of the bendy poles when ordering the curtain poles?

Its not clear from the website.

And how easy are they to put together?

Will I need a connector bit to connect to the corner poles?

Thanks

You need to measure round your frame exactly where your pole will go - so around the corners not straight across teh front. You'll need pole to be longer than window if possible for curtains to 'stack' - around 15-25 cm either side depending on thickness of curtains, overall width of window etc. If they haven't asked for very detailed measurements it is safe to assume you are bending it on site and cutting to fit, or maybe joining lengths you have cut to size and mounting them on joiners they supply.

One thing to check is whether there are brackets at the corners and if so whether pole comes with passover rings - if not you need 2 pairs of curtains. If there are no brackets you are limited in how heavy the curtains that can hang from the pole can be.
