Recommendations needed for good kitchen company for buying and installing

We are hoping to buy a house soon which needs a new kitchen (in a room where one does not already exist). We have a great builder, but I don't want to use him for this as time keeping and urgency are not his strong points. I want a company that I can buy the kitchen from and get them to come and install it quickly. I am hoping to pay around £8000 for the whole thing for quite a good quality one. Can anyone recommend a company? I am in London if this helps!

JOhn Lewis (ie, the chain, not JL of Hungerford, though they are excellent too) are good. They did ours about six years ago. Still looks pretty well bandbox new.

Thanks for that. Did they install it too?

They did install, too, and it was done very professionally and quickly. Took about four days, I think. No complaints at all.

we had ours from cooke and lewis (B&Q designer) and they designed, installed and told told us how to maintain the wooden surfaces, belfast sink etc so were really helpful. we paid £15000 but that was kitchen and utility room and the fitting was on a half price offer (should have been £23000) does not include the range cooker.

Magnet 50% sale has just started and they are very good.

imo kitchen suppliers always have sales or will knock the price down so don't be rushed into making a decision. b&q fitting is v expensive compared to others although some like magnet are not transparent so you don't really know how much you're paying for fitting.

we just visited a local supplier who has been v helpful and gave us a 3d plan and costings, said he could negotiate a bit and has left the ball in our court. i'm thinking we'll go with him as have priced up similar kitchen for magnet & b&q and both more expensive.
