Coving In Kitchen?

Is this okay? Does it have to be plaster or can I use the paper covered 'styrene?

Hmmmmmm. Personally have a phobia about coving.

What sort of house do you have? Modern houses shouldn't have coving. 1930s housing would have it anyway. Victorian housing, only in the parlour.

I like coving because in my 50's/60's semi council the bit where the walls meet the ceiling is about as well defined as my bikini line. It just makes it easier to get a neat join.
