I've seen these in peoples homes, but never seen them avialable to buy. (I can sort of understnad why)

Do you have to find an artist to knock one off for you?

You mean like Gary Kasparov?

Or Old Masters?

GrendelsMum · 29/09/2009 20:45

My friend's dad is a grand master - does that make my friend a realistic copy of a grand master?

LynetteScavo · 29/09/2009 21:16

I meant Old Masters.

I remember hearing a programme on the radio about loads of artistes in India doing these - have a look on here www.filmanfineart.co.uk/famous-paintings/requested-12.html

We once looked at a house that was full of them. They were like this:

Thanks

What does mumsnet think? Are they very tacky? I quite like this

tacky. to get a reasonable copy you have to pay a reasonable amount of money - use it to buy something original.

I've decided against getting one.

I'm now looking at some lovely prints on etsy.
