I have found the best renovation project ever

Here Currently available for the reserve price of £650K having failed to sell at auction. Local rag reckons £1M needed to get it sorted

There is a slight technical hitch in that a)I have never done a renovation project other than a slightly dodgy 1930s semi and b)I currently have about £165 available, rather than the £1,650,000 I'd need.

But wouldn't it be amazing? I can see Kevin there in his hard hat already.

Lets see if we can buy it between all of us.I have a fiver (it is fantastic btw)

Omg its lovely! But you know, even if I had that much money, how much % return would you get? Not that I'd ever sell it, I'd live there forever

Top idea - Mumsnet Manor .

MNHQ could relocate, we could get chickens, there's space for the horsey people to do their stuff...

i think you'd get quite a lot for it, surely more than the cost of renovation. although depends on how over-the-top you go in renovating.

looks gorgeous.

Wonderstuff · 26/09/2009 10:14

It is beautiful. If my numbers come up tonight.. Loving the idea of MN Manor.

I'd forgotten the lottery, which is bad because most of my long term financial planning is based around me winning the lottery. Right, must buy a ticket.

Can we have lefties lofts and daily mail dungeon?

Hassled · 26/09/2009 10:25

We'd need some sort of clearing in the woods to be an open air AIBU forum. Or maybe it could be decided through jousting.

Jousting - definately. I've got about £2.40 knocking about in loose change under the sofa cushions...I'll throw that into the pot.

fanjolina · 28/09/2009 19:57

great idea. I've got a spare million I could donate to the project....

....in my dreams

rebl · 28/09/2009 20:12

Lovely . I found a £1 in the cupboard under the stairs in my clear out on Sunday. I'll donate that .

Ooh this is near me - perhaps if I helped out with a spot of DIY I could have a share without putting money in?

Not that I'm any good at DIY but I'm also skint

I must be the lone voice, I think it looks creepy. I would be scared, mind you if you lot are all there too it would be kind of ok I guess
