How much please for a garage conversion ?

I really want another baby but room is an issue.
Was thinkinmg maybe dh could convert the garage- he could do some himself as very handy but obviously will need the expert for most things.
We have a good sizes single garage, with electric and water supply .

Any idea how cheap cheap we can turn it into a bedroom ?

You'll have to get planning permision I was told by a builder but I guess if you were doing it yourself and not changing the doors/windows you might get away with it.
And there has to be outside access to the garden without going through the "room" which put us off

We only needed building regs and have converted into a dining room and a utility room. Cost about 6k 2 years ago for everything. Best thing we've ever done!
