What colour should I paint my office

Our office desperately need painting ot's a vile racing car green at the mo (previous owners choice) it's so oppressive and horrible to be in here.

It's not a large room and doesn't get loads of light so can't go for anything too dark. Want to go with something a bit warmer than just "neutral" tones - What sort of colours are supposed to be creative and inspiring but not over powering??

Also the furniture we have is beech wood and we won't be changing that.

TIA

Really sunny yellow? Or a deep orange? I know they sound like headache colours but I think they can be great in a smallish darkish room. I've done the yellow in a dark tiny spare room (about 6 by 8 foot) and the orange in a similar-sized kitchen and they both looked great. Or white everywhere but with a bright wall? DD's room is titchy and is white with one bright red wall - it looks great.

This room is also about 6 by 8 foot so that could work. was it bright yellow or more mellow??

Bright yellow with a touch of ochre if that makes any sense.

I did find both colours really energising and friendly.
