Where can I find a detailed map that shows accurately where my boundary is?

I need this to ensure that I dont erect a fence on what is in effect council land, as I want to separate our property from next doors, which is council owned.

Where can I find such plans? I have looked at all the paperwork I got when we bought the property, but there is nothing in detail.

land registry. i think you have to pay but everything you need should be on there. you can do it all online. or look to see if there are any local planning consultations which affect your road, as it will show your house and boundaries too.
