At my age I'm not in a position to build or buy a house and don't want too for a good while yet (I'm 20!), but I would absolutely love to build my own house when I'm stable and secure in the future.
I'd love to have the freedom of building a house to my own tastes, be able to include whatever I want, have it as ecofriendly as I could possibly get and so on.
So I'm curious, those of you who have built houses or would like too, what would your tastes make you do with that much freedom.
Also curious as to the logistics of building your own house: How much does it cost? How long does it take? Would you primarily hire builders or collect favours from friends? etc.
