Anyone know about macerators?

Do they need any maintenance? Ours is making a different noise from normal, and taking more time to finish. Any tips?

WE had one in our old house and didn't really have any problems with it. Sometimes it did make a different noise and then was OK again - I'd say if it continues you should call someone out. If it is a Saniflo I would definitely recommend one of their own engineers rather than a normal plumber! Hope it stops of its own accord!
