Is there such a thing as slimline upvc windows? Can't afford aluminium...

...or probably not even wood (loads of windows). Also has anyone had UPVC spray painted befor fitting? What does it look like? Thanks

Sorry- the reason I was asking was because we are replacing metal frames and I think upvc will look too chunky

You can get coloured upvc and it doesn't have that chunky plasticky look like white.The dark grey colour is nice.

Have a look at eurocell.co.uk they have a eurologik window in grey which is lovely

Have you actually used them Noddy? I think i've watched too many episodes of rogue trader lol! Double glazing firms seem to be one of the worst culprits! Off to look at site...
