Does anyone want to join me in lusting after this piece of property porn?

Just take a look at this delicious house.

It's in South Australia - about 35 mins from Adelaide City Centre and costs approx 1.5 million pounds - so about 1.3 million pounds more that we can afford .

And I'm not sure about some of the wallpaper

I should add that I live in South Australia, so it's not like I'm being totally unrealistic.

Just need a big lotto win.

Def property porn of the highest order - especially that lovely brick/stone room with all the candles hanging form the ceiling and the bottle of wine waiting.

Mind you, having passed through Adelaide one wet Sunday in August can't say it would be top of my list of fave locations.

Do you think they could stick it on a large truck and move it to Cairns?!

womblingfree · 03/08/2009 07:53

Feel awful now I've said that about Adelaide - it was just passing through on a grotty day. My Dad's spent time there and thought it was lovely

MmeLindt · 03/08/2009 07:54

Loved the house and the gardens but the interior is absolutely not my taste. Shame, might have bought it otherwise.

Although, you do have lots of snakes and stuff down there.

ClaudiaSchiffer · 03/08/2009 07:55

Ha, Adelaide on a wet winters day is indeed dreary and dull so no offence taken.

Yes, lots of snakes, and spiders. Do you think if I'd get a reduction if I mention them to the agent? Also no pool and I would have to re-do the interior. Hmmmmmmm.

Thank goodness - it was a Sunday as well - we had a few hours to kill between the India Pacific and the Ghan.

Beautiful house though - perhaps they'd take the wallpaper and creepy crawlies with them

MmeLindt · 03/08/2009 08:23

I am sure that would knock a good 1.3 million off the asking price. The wallpaper is truly distressing.

DaisybabyScaredOfCows · 03/08/2009 08:26

Are the sheep included?

clayre · 03/08/2009 08:30

it has 6 bedrooms and only 2 bathrooms, you would need to put in more toilets, and i agree about the decor its awful

noddyholder · 03/08/2009 08:34

I think its lovely the decor is v traditional but not too stuffy and could be made more contemporary with just a few tweaks.

jonbonjovi · 03/08/2009 08:35

No, sorry, reminds me of the house in Psycho.

jonbonjovi · 03/08/2009 08:37

This is more my thing, albeit a tad more expensive (£7m).

here

And I loathe pool tables...

BrigitBigKnickers · 03/08/2009 09:27

Snap jonbonjovi That's what I thought. Either that or the Haunted House at Disney!

comewhinewithme · 03/08/2009 09:34

My 6 year old is now crying cos she wants to move to strailia and live in the big house .

ClaudiaSchiffer · 03/08/2009 09:51

Stop being rude about my fantasy house

Haunted house, hrumph.

Noddy and Wombling can come and stay, the rest of you can find your own luxury $$$$$$ pad

theincredibleshrinkinglady · 03/08/2009 10:04

...bit on the small side....

goldenpeach · 03/08/2009 19:31

The furniture is a bit pikey for the grandeur of the building, sorry, couldn't resist!
