safety proofing sharp corner in bathroom

There's a step down into our bathroom which has tiles on it (previous owner), the corner is bloody pointy and I'm worried that dd might trip over and take an eye out. I've tried one of the usual padded corner things but because it's stuck on with basically double sided sticky tape, and the surface is smooth and gets condensation/splashes, it hasn't stuck at all.

Any ideas as to what to do? Our only thought was perhaps grinding down the tiles til they're smoother, but no idea how we'd do that.

Could you put a wooden edge on it, like a long l shape piece of wood that would fit. You could attach with No More Nails.

Also put those rough patches that go on the bottom of the bath to make it more grippy?

Personally, I think that anything you put on it will become a trip hazard in itself.

SD - I guess that's true, but at the moment we're more worried about her slipping while she's crawling about on the floor.

The bath patch sounds like an idea, maybe they can fold over a bit.

Put a towel over it. She's not likely to be crawling about there on her own is she?
